Left Wing Lives is a political blog promoting progressive and tolerant left of centre ideas. It was set up under its previous name 'Politics Beyond Politicians' by me, Ciaran McCormick in June 2013. This blog looks at how left wing politics can be uncovered throughout our lives, from the food and culture we digest to the identities we defend.

The new name for the blog 'Left Wing Lives' sets an explicitly progressive tone for the blog. It also gives me the opportunity to talk about both the politics of our everyday lives, as well as the actions of people in power.
