Eye Salon Tried To Ban Muslims After Paris Attacks

A 43 year old woman has been arrested after posting inflammatory Islamaphobic posts from her eye salon's Facebook page. The comments come in the light of the Paris terror attacks from Friday 13th November. There has been a shocking increase in hatred against innocent Muslims and refugees. The account for the Blinks of Bicester business posted the message "Blinks of Bicester are no longer taking bookings from anyone from the Islamic faith whether you are UK granted with passport or not". They also shared the post again with the caption "Sorry but time to put my country first".

A Thames Valley Police spokeswoman said: "We have arrested a 43-year-old woman in Bicester today after a number of complaints about a racially abusive post on social media."

The story was picked up by the satirical Britain Furst Facebook page, who criticise this type of hatred. Since the post went viral, it has attracted a deluge of bad reviews from the public.

Bravo Internet. The original posts have been deleted by the page owner and police have arrested the woman involved. The Paris tragedy is a horrible loss of life so close to home, and has brought into sharp focus terrorist attacks by Islamic State around the world. Its purpose is to trigger this kind of backlash and encourage us to sleepwalk into authoritarian policies, which must be avoided at all costs.
